Senior Management Team
Four people report direct to The Secretary:-
The Facilities Manager has been in post since November 1996. He also fulfils the role of Deputy Secretary. He has 10 staff reporting to him; they include the maintenance staff, the receptionists, and the post-room staff. He is also responsible for the security, porterage and cleaning contracts undertaken by external contractors who have supervisors permanently attached to Church House.
The Head of Finance has been in post since November 2009. He has 3 accounts staff reporting to him. He is responsible for all aspects of finance for both the Corporation and Conference Centre. He is a director of the Conference Centre Board.
The General Manager of the Conference Centre has been in post since November 2008. He has 3 managers reporting directly to him, who are in turn responsible for a further 16 staff. He is also responsible for the catering contract undertaken by an external contractor which includes around a dozen staff permanently attached to Church House. The operations generate an annual turnover of around £4 million.
The Secretary’s Executive Assistant has been in post since March 2015. Although her primary responsibilities are to the Secretary, she also assists the other members of the management team. She is the first point of contact for staff HR enquiries.
In addition to meeting members of the team informally daily, the Secretary convenes a weekly meeting of the senior management team and conducts appraisals of the senior managers.
